Willie E. Ford, age 76, lifelong resident of Electra, Texas passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 in Wichita Falls.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Electra. Following visitation, a vigil service and rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church with Rev. Khoi Tran officiating. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 13, 2015, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Electra with Rev. Khoi Tran officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Willie was born April 4, 1939 in Electra to Henry Raht Ford and Remunda Sophie Kruse Ford.
He graduated from Electra High School in 1957. He served his country in the Army National Guard from March 18, 1957 until March 17, 1963.
He and Janet Rodgers were married October 20, 1979 in St. Paul's Catholic Church of Electra.
Willie was employed at C.E. Natco and then for Mobil Oil Company where he retired in 1996. After his retirement, he returned to C.E. Natco and retired in 2007.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing and was an avid bowler. He also enjoyed welding and made many BBQ pits. He shared his love for these with his wife and children.
Willie was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Janet of the home; one daughter, Brandi Gilbert and husband, Perry of Electra; three sons, Troy Mathis and wife, Melissa Melchiori, John H. Ford and wife, Priscilla, and Benjamin Ford and wife, Kimberly, all of Electra; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Clay, Mitchell, Addison, Sophie, Carter, Olivia, Michelle, Christy, Austin, Tater, Brenlee, K.C., Drew, and Avrie; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Remunda Ford; his grand-parents, Otto and Fannie Ford, Ben and Clara Eckelkamp Kruse; and his brother, Arden Lewis Ford.
