William Lloyd "Pete" Rodgers, age 58, lifelong resident of Electra, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 in the Archer City Nursing Center.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra with Darwin M. Stroud, Pastor of the First Assembly of God, officiating. Interment will follow in the New Electra Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Pete was born June 12, 1957 in Vernon, Texas to the late Vernon Troy Rodgers and Fannie Maxine Lucas Rodgers.

He graduated from Electra High School. He was employed by the City of Electra. He later was employed by Lloyd Jones Drilling Company and then Johnson Ernest until 2014.

Pete loved to fish. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include one sister, Janet Sue Ford and husband, Willie of Electra; one brother, Troy Don Rodgers and wife, Donna of Brownwood, Texas; two sisters-in-laws, Paula Rodgers of Electra, and Sandra Rodgers of Arley, Alabama; and a host of nieces and nephews and his special niece, Carla Rodgers Hodgkins who he loved to the moon and back.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Alton Rodgers and Roy Dennis Rodgers; and two sisters, Doris Marie Rodgers and Helen Francis Gosnell.
