He also enjoyed the outdoors, his dogs, Jasmine and Bentley, chocolate filled éclairs and his fifteen pounds of banana pudding. Bill loved his grandchildren.  His daughter, Angel, was Daddy's Little Girl no matter how old she was.  He loved his son-in-law, Joey, and told him he was the son he never had.  Bill took care of his mother until his health began to fail.  He was a kind and caring man and was a true gentleman.

Survivors include one daughter, Angel Veitenheimer and husband, Joey of Windthorst; his mother, Ruby Pearl Curts of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Mak Manley and spouse, Tateuana of Wichita Falls, Matthew Veitenheimer and fiancé, Mary of Topeka, Kansas, and Josh Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Adylee.

He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Ronnie Cardin; and one sister, Ina Boyd.
