Weldon Whited, Sr., age 86 of Wichita Falls passed away Thursday morning, July 5, 2018 at a Wichita Falls nursing facility.

All friends are invited to come and attend a celebration of his life held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his son's home located at 431 Rathgeber Road, Wichita Falls, Texas, 76310, with Rev. Willie Howard of Wichita Falls, officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date in the Bowman Cemetery located in Lakeside City.  Cremation services have been entrusted to Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Mr. Whited was born May 2, 1932 in Ralls, Texas to the late Henry Augustus Whited and Vada M. Thornton Whited.

He and Marie James were married on December 4, 1950 in Ralls. She preceded him in death on June 5, 2005.

He had been a resident of the Wichita Falls area for the past fifty years and had owned and operated his own restaurant. He had lived at Lake Arrowhead until 2005 when he moved into Wichita Falls.

Survivors include four sons, Tommy Whited of Lake Arrowhead, Weldon Whited, Jr. and wife, Debbie in Tallahassee, Florida, David Whited and wife, Sharon of Fort Worth, Texas, and James Whited and wife, Gail of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Vada Benedict and husband, Michael of Wichita Falls; Sixteen grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
