Virginia Ruth Millar Teaff, age 91, of Electra, Texas, passed away Thursday morning, September 21, 2023 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church of Electra, with Rev. Bob Lee, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Ruth was born February 24, 1932 in Reydon, Oklahoma to the late Paul H. Millar and Pearl Lena Gilkerson Millar.

She spent her childhood in Oklahoma, where she was a graduate of Grandfield High School.

Ruth married Kenneth Elwood Teaff on September 2, 1950 in Electra, Texas.  He preceded her in death on March 4, 2020.

Ruth attended Draughon's Business College in Wichita Falls.  After this she worked for Dickey, McGann and Rowe Insurance Agency for thirty years until her retirement in 1997.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Electra for nearly seventy years.  Ruth was very active in the United Methodist Women and also taught the adult ladies Sunday school class for many years.  She was a fifty year member of the 1951 Book of Books Club.

Ruth loved working Bible crosswords.  She collected obituaries of Electra residents for over thirty-five years and made scrapbooks of these.

Survivors include three children, Dennis Lee Teaff and wife, Kenna of Electra, Diane Graham and husband, Reggie of Alex, Oklahoma and David Alan Teaff and wife, Jolie of Rhome, Texas; five grandchildren, Josh Morgan of Electra, Andrew Gafford of Wichita Falls, Nic Teaff and wife, April of Pearland, Texas, Amanda Gafford Jones and husband, Tony of Graham and Sabrina Willard and husband, Bryan of Frisco; five bonus grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a special niece, Linda Lewis and husband, Doug of Midlothian, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
