Tommy Schroeder, age 74, of Windthorst, Texas passed away in Hospice of Wichita Falls on Sunday morning January 5, 2014.

A vigil service and rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Windthorst. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Moloney, Vicar at St. Mary's and St. Boniface, and Deacon Don Brown officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

Tommy was born September 20, 1939 in Windthorst, Texas to Julius and Stella Baumhardt Schroeder.

He and Betty J. Lerner were married August 5, 1958 in Windthorst, Texas. She preceded him in death on January 1, 2013.

Tommy was employed for AMPI, which later became MTS Milk Transport, for thirty-five years until his retirement in 2007. He also was a farmer and rancher. Tommy enjoyed music and dancing, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was a prankster and was set in his own ways.

Tommy was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Knight of Columbus Ketteler Council # 1824.

Survivors include three sons, David and wife, Kathy, Brian and wife, Diane, and Brad and wife, Kayla, all of Wichita Falls; one daughter, Deborah Gauntt and husband, Buddy of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Pat Humpert and husband, Butch of Windthorst; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Schroeder of Wichita Falls; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Rachel and Craig; and two brothers, Jerry and Ron Schroeder.

Serving as pallbearers will be Corey Gauntt, Gary Humpert, Tim Schenk, Kyle Schroeder, Matt Schroeder, and Robbie Schroeder.
