Timothy Blair Berend, age 21, of Windthorst, Texas passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015.

A vigil service and rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Windthorst. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Moloney, O.F.S. Parochial Administrator of St. Mary's and St. Boniface Catholic Church, and Deacon Don Brown officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Timothy was born February 22, 1994 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Kenneth Joseph Berend, Sr. and Karen Lou Nix Berend.

He graduated from Windthorst High School where he participated in football and played on the team which advanced to state playoffs. He then attended Vernon College.

Timothy was employed by John and Edward Wolf Dairy for several years, Texoma Ice Company and was currently employed by Tubing Testers, Inc. in Archer City. He also enjoyed raising cattle.

Timothy coached Top of Texas Football and baseball. He had a giving heart and was willing to help anyone with anything. Timothy had a special group of lifelong friends who shared many adventures.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Windthorst.

Survivors include his parents, Kenny and Karen Berend of Windthorst, four brothers: Chris Carter and wife, Lanna and their children, Carson, Caleb and Levi of Aubrey, Texas, Joseph Berend of Lexington, Kentucky, Ryan Berend and wife, Crista of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Heath Berend of Windthorst, Texas; three sisters: Carrie Berend and partner, Chris Bates of Portland, Oregon, Dia Obonyo and husband, Victor and their children, Luka and Elon of Lexington, Kentucky, and Stacia Lindsay and husband, Preston of Wichita Falls; grandmother, Ruby Jo McAnally of Montague, Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Veronica Berend; grandfather, Alfred Berend, Sr.; grandmother, Pauline Hoff Berend; step-grandmother, Anna Berend; and step-grandfather, Bernice McAnally.
