Sylvia Ann Riordan, age 76, of Archer City, Texas passed away, Monday, August 26, 2024, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City with Roger Deerinwater officiating.  Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Sylvia, one of nine children, was born January 19, 1948 in Denton, Texas to the late Alvin Robert Kruger and Fannie Mae Matheson Kruger.

She married the love of her life, William E. Riordan, on December 4, 1964 in Wichita Falls.

Sylvia was a hairdresser for many years in Wichita Falls. She also was an amazing wife, mom and grandmother.  She was very crafty and enjoyed decorating and making things for all of her family.  Her greatest love was following her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their sports and activities.

Sylvia was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for forty years.  Sylvia was a great cook especially Chili which she entered many Chili Cook-Off and won the State Chili Cook-Off Championship.  She and Bill traveled all over the southern United States.

Survivors include her husband William "Bill" Riordan of Archer City; three daughters, Laura Ann Travis of Archer City, LaFonda Huffman and wife, Crystal of Archer City and Kim Neill of Wichita Falls; seven grandchildren, Tiffanni Coats, Justin Travis, Blake Hoegger, Brenna Meurer, Jordan Trahan, Joe Hoegger and Sara Weaver; twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and her life-long best friends, Rick and Linda Dodson.

She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Brandon Neill; great-grandson, Brice Coates; and eight brothers and sisters.
