Sid Lorenz, age 95, of Wichita Falls passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, in a Wichita Falls hospital.

Visitation with family will be held at 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.  Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Sid was born July 9, 1926 in Electra, Texas to the late Sidney Lorenz, Sr. and Rosa Stautzenberger Lorenz.  He graduated from Electra High School.

During World War II, Sid honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1944 until 1946.

He and Gaytha Lee Rodawalt were married on February 2, 1985 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Sid was employed by Texaco Production from 1953 until 1989.  He was a member of Fairway Baptist Church in Wichita Falls and also was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Electra. Sid loved to play golf and watch politics.

Survivors include his wife, Gaytha of Wichita Falls; son, Derrel Lorenz and wife, Mary of Lubbock; daughter, Terri Warren of Austin; five grandchildren, Jennifer Clingon and husband, Mason, James Lorenz and wife, Jennifer, Eric Lorenz, Peggy Rakes and husband, Glen and Crystal Addis and husband, Darrin; and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by brothers, Marvin and Roland Lorenz; and sisters, Virginia Fay Lorenz, Dorothy Lorenz and Rosalee Haddox.

The family suggests memorials to Electra Senior Citizen Center, 503 West Michigan, Electra, Texas 76360.
