Shon William Blair, age 17, of Archer City, Texas passed away January 3, 2014, along with his friend, Dalton Maxwell, as a result of an automobile accident in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014, at the Southside Baptist Church in Olney, Texas with Rev. Andy Graham officiating. Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Aulds Funeral Home.

Shon was born February 25, 1996 in San Angelo, Texas to Bobby Don Blair and Vicky June Worley Blair.

He attended Archer City High School where he participated in football and weight-lifting. Shon loved skate boarding, drawing, music, video games, hanging with his friends and pestering his little sister.

Shon was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Olney and also attended Youth Services at Grace Community Church in Archer City. He was his sister, Breon's, best friend and hero. Shon had planned to join the Marines and had recently contacted them.

One of Shon's favorite sayings was "YOLO" which means You Only Live Once. Because of a selfless choice he made at 16 when he got his driver's license, he will live forever. I asked him if he was sure he wanted to do that and he said, "If I'm dead, I ain't gonna need them." The organ recovery team got to work at midnight last night and should be done by noon today. Our son was able to donate 8 organs which will allow 6 people to live on and at least one to see. And 50-100 people will benefit from his tissue donation... The recovery team told us that Shon was only the second donor in their history to be able to help so many people. They gave us a badge for him to wear and I know he will wear it proudly... The family has been notified that all of the transplants were completed successfully. This was the best choice he ever made and we will forever be proud of our son.

Survivors include his father and mother, Bobby and Vicky Blair of Archer City; two brothers, Justin Don Blair and life partner, Ryan Smith of San Angelo, and Brandon Lee Blair of Mosinee, Wisconsin; one sister, Breon Ailie Blair of Archer City; grandmother, Florence Josephine Blair of Olney; three aunts and uncles, Dwight Lee and Judy Blair of Azle, Clint and Kelly Worley of Covington, Indiana, and Tim and Candy Worley of San Angelo; one nephew, Quentin Lee Blair and one niece, Navea Shaylyn Blair, both of Mosinee, Wisconsin; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Nancy Worley, and his grandfathers, Bobby Lee Blair and William Worley.
