Sheryl Dean Berend, age 68, of Wichita Falls, Texas, formerly of Lake Kickapoo, passed away Tuesday evening, February 2, 2016, in Wichita Falls.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Aulds Funeral Home in Archer City with Rev. Rebecca Grogan, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.
Sheryl was born September 3, 1947 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Elvin Lee Haigood and Claudia Bent Huff Haigood. She attended Archer City High School.
Sheryl married the love of her life, Tommy Berend, on June 28, 1965 In Waurika, Oklahoma.
She was the number one painter for Tommy Berend Painting for ten years. Sheryl loved to ride horses, water sports, camping and hunting but her greatest love was her grandkids.
Sheryl was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Archer City for many years and then became a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Wichita Falls.
Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Tommy Berend of Wichita Falls; two sons, Klonie Berend and wife, Sandy of Wichita Falls, and Mark Berend and wife, Alice of Archer City; and nine grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
