Sharon Kay "Big Momma" Rodgers, age 59, of Electra, Texas lost her short but brave battle with cancer on June 28, 2018, at Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Aulds Funeral Home of Electra, Texas has been entrusted with handling of her cremation services. No Memorial Services have been set at this time.
Sharon was born July 12, 1958 in Childress, Texas to the late Alvin Douglas Rodgers and Dorothy Louise Moore Rodgers.
She has lived in Electra since the age of three and graduated from Iowa Park High School. There was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed listening to her police scanner, playing on her ipad, munching on ice, and riding around town. She was the type of person that would do anything for anyone. She was known as the second mother to all the local kids in the neighborhood and was affectionately referred to as "Big Momma" by everyone.
She is survived by her son, Kim Dale Rodgers and his wife Lacy of Electra; her daughter, Brandi Edmonds and her husband Larry of Vernon, Texas; her "extra" son, Justin "Red" Sullivan, also of Electra; three brothers, Billie Don Rodgers and his wife Gay of Gordonville, Texas, Bobby Glenn Rodgers and his wife Aline of Electra, and Berle Rodgers and his wife Diane of Wisconsin; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Rodgers of Electra; six grandchildren, Shaena, Caitlin, Brady, Gage, Easton, and Haylee; three great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Sophie, and Judge.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Floyd Rodgers.
