Sharon Ann Bennett Morris, age 71, of Oklaunion, Texas, formerly of Electra, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 in Wilbarger General Hospital in Vernon.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2018, at Eastside Baptist Church in Vernon with Pastor Curt Rutledge officiating.  Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Sharon was born January 31, 1947 in Electra to the late William Delmar Bennett and Ellen Maxine Bowery Bennett.

She married the love of her life, Lenville Lynn Morris, on August 24, 1968 in Vernon, Texas.  He preceded her in death on October 7, 2017.

Sharon was employed by the Vernon State Hospital for twenty-eight years until her retirement. She loved animals especially horses.  For many years, she was a barrel racer where she earned many trophies.  She also was on the volleyball team in Vernon.  She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Sharon was active in raising funds for the Relay For Life and also a Breast Cancer Survivors.  She was a former member of Bible Baptist Church in Electra and was a current member of Eastside Baptist Church in Vernon.

Survivors include one son, Shawn Morris of Electra; one daughter, Kasey Creekmore and husband, Jeff of Oklaunion; four grandchilkdren, Jordan, Harley, D'naylee and Nevaeh Jared; sister-in-law, Darlene Kajs and husband, Tommy of Vernon; brother-in-law, Ralph Branch of Electra; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by sister, Karen Lynn Branch and her niece, Tammy Stephens.
