Sandy Walser Gafford, age 66, lifelong resident of Electra, Texas passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021, in Electra.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Electra with Roger Sanford, Pastor of Electra Community Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Aulds Funeral Home.

Sandy was born in Electra, Texas on January 9, 1955 to Jackie Darwyn Walser and Hazel Dale Robertson Walser.  She graduated from Electra High School in 1973.

She married William Gafford on February 20, 1987 in Wichita Falls, Texas.  He preceded her in death on March 2, 2017.

She worked for Electra Hospital District and Electra ISD.  Sandy was employed by A.L. Cottages of Electra and the City of Electra.  She was also self-employed throughout her life where she cleaned countless homes and businesses in the community.  Sandy loved hiking, decorating cakes and floral design.  She was a devoted Christian woman who loved her children and grandchildren very much.  Sandy was a member of the Electra Community Church for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Aundrea Duren and husband, CR of Queen Creek, Arizona and Diandra Gafford and husband, Cody Rejino of Electra; two sons, Anthony Lynn and wife, Shanique of Electra and Dillon Gafford of Electra; her parents, Jackie and Hazel Walser of Electra; three sisters, Sharon Huffstutler and husband, Larry, Pinky Anzaldua and husband, Richard all of Electra, and Judy Edwards of Vernon; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her aunt, Janice Petitt; her nephew, Shane Huffstutler; and her niece, Chelsey Mitchell.

The family suggests memorials to the Electra Community Church, 1210 North Bailey Street, Electra, Texas 76360.
