Ruth Gayle Walker, age 66, of Gainesville, Texas formerly of Archer City, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021, at her residence.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the First Baptist Church of Gainesville with Jeff Langley, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in New Electra Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Ruth was born March 1, 1954 in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma to the late John D. Harp and Ruth A. Mayes Harp.

She attended school in Amarillo.

She and Loyd C. Walker were married February 22, 1980 in Archer City.

While living in Archer City, Ruth was employed as a CNA at the Archer Nursing Home.  She also worked in customer service throughout her life.

Ruth was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gainesville, the Women's Bible Group and the Joy Group.

Ruth enjoyed listening to old country music and Irish music.  Her favorite show was Criminal Minds and Law and Order.

Survivors include her husband, Loyd of Gainesville; twin daughters, Billie Rush and husband, Christopher of Denton and Kimberly Besher of Gainesville; one sister, Terri Roberts of Wichita Falls; five grandchildren, Scott Beauchamp, Ravyn-Ann Hainey, Dallas Besher, Dana Geray, and Sara Logston; and nine great-grandchildren.

Ruth was also preceded in death by her brother, Clifford Harp.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the First Baptist Church, 308 E. Broadway Street, Gainesville, Texas 76240.
