Roy Kenneth Urban, age 87, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harrold, Texas, with Steven Brummett, Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Kenneth was born on October 8, 1937, in Electra, Texas, to Roy S. Urban and Louise Begeman Urban.

He began his education at County Line School, which later consolidated into Enterprise School. After that school closed, he attended Harrold School in Harrold, Texas, graduating in 1955 with a class of 11 students.

In October of 1955, Kenneth married Betty Joyce Lemon. The couple moved to Fort Worth, where Kenneth was employed by White's Auto. After nine years, they returned to Electra, where he continued to work for White's Auto until it closed. He later co-owned a Tidy Car franchise, where he worked until his retirement in 2000.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Helen Wilson and Virginia Kee Orvis; and one brother, James Urban.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty Joyce; daughter, Melissa Whitson of Denton, and daughter, Debbie Jeske and husband, Phil II of Olney; grandchildren, Erin Mahler and husband, David, Phil Jeske III and wife, DaNiel, and Teri Lea Wright and husband, Andrew; and seven great-grandchildren: John, Stephen, and Braxton Mahler; Jensen and Liam Jeske; and June and Arthur Wright.
