Roy Shawn Alsup, age 55, of Archer City passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at his residence.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, at Aulds Funeral Home with Joe Cullen, Pastor of the First Christian Church of Archer City and Verner Hayhurst of Archer City officiating. Interment will follow in the Pioneer Cemetery in Olney under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Aulds Funeral Home.

Shawn was born April 22, 1959 in Olney, Texas to Roy Dehn Alsup and Janice Ann Groves Alsup.

Shawn graduated from Olney High School and attended three years of college.

He proudly served his country in the Coast Guard.

Shawn had owned and operated a jewelry store in Graham, Texas for four years. He then was employed at the Space Surveillance Center in Archer County for eleven years and finally for Raytheon out of Puerto Rico for six months until he began having health problems.

Survivors include two sons, Shane Alsup and Danial Reynolds of Archer City; his parents, Roy and Janice Alsup of Archer City; one brother, Steve Alsup and wife, Tina of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Shannon Ann Baldwin on March 26, 2012 and two nieces, Ayme Marie Alsup on April 9, 1991 and Peyton KateAnn Parsley on August 28, 2006. On June 3, 2014, his father, Roy passed away.
