Robert Jarvis Brown, III, age 79, of Archer County, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, at his home.

At Rob's request, there will be no services held at this time.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Rob was born June 28, 1944 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Robert Jarvis Brown, Jr. and Ardnella Shaw Brown.

He was a 1963 graduate of Wichita Falls High School.  After graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Rob married Betty Payne on October 5, 1985 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

He was a radio technician throughout his life.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Brown of Archer County; two daughters, Lori Wilson and DeeDee Brown, both of Burkburnett; two step-children, Corby Wymer of Newton, Kansas and Kristin Long and husband, Richard W. of Archer County; one sister, Pam Brown of Brazil; one brother David Brown of Brazil; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Matthew Wilson.
