Robert M. Borton, age 90, of Electra, Texas, passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 16, 2026, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Electra with Matt DesAutels, Pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

The family will receive guests from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday evening, September 18, 2026, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Robert was born August 6, 1936, in Electra, Texas and was a lifelong resident. He was a dedicated and loving spouse, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, always willing to help his family and friends.

Robert joined the Navy in 1954, where he served for four years in Tennessee, South Carolina and Bermuda. Upon his return to Electra, he worked for Ed Hart Chevrolet for twenty-six years. Robert then worked for Electra Independent School District for twenty-five years, retiring as the maintenance supervisor. He was known by all as a hard worker and a great boss. Robert was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Electra.

His presence here on earth will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Robert is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Judy of Electra; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Doug Jones of Electra and Jessica and Willie Barron of Wichita Falls; three grandchildren, Austin Borton and wife, Kylee, Raven Barron and Isabella Barron, all of Wichita Falls; one great-grandson, Kellan Graham Borton, one brother, Raymond Borton and wife, Sharon of Electra; nieces and nephews, Dennis Moody, Curtis Hart, Dale Borton, Lee Borton, Brian Borton, Alice Berend, Marsha Ritchie and Lexie Hart Henji.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Borton; parents, Charles James Borton and Tommie L. Houston Borton; two sisters, Wanda Hart Polk and Geraldine Moody; one brother, Charles Borton; and a great-nephew, Westin Borton.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to everyone who offered their love, prayers and support during this difficult time.
