Peggy McWhorter Hubbard, age 85, of Archer City, Texas passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021, in Olney, Texas.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the First Baptist Church of Archer City with Mikey Pesqueda, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.  For those who can't attend the service, it will be live streamed on First Baptist Church Facebook Live. Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2021, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Peggy was born July 22, 1936 in Westover, Texas to the late T.B. McWhorter and Fay Warren McWhorter.

She and Marvin H. Hubbard were married August 2, 1953 in Megargel, Texas.  He preceded her in death on November 8, 2017.

Peggy was employed at McWhorter's Food Store for many years.  She then was employed at Archer City ISD for over thirty years where she adored all the kids.  Peggy was loved by the whole town, especially by her kids at Archer City ISD.

Peggy was a member of First Baptist Church of Archer City and the Women of Faith Sunday School Class.  She enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include sons, Billy Hubbard and wife, Janell of Olney, and Lanny Hubbard and wife, Diane of Archer City; daughter, Karren Winter of Archer City; seven grandchildren; Michelle Riddles, Jennifer Lane, Josh Winter, Jessica Berend, Jason Winter, Megan Randall and Caleb Hubbard; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Peggy was also preceded in death by her son, Tommy Hubbard on February 23, 1989; sister, Doris Cashen and brothers, Boyd, Kenneth, Gene and Bobby McWhorter.
