Peggy Fletcher Green, age 85, of Archer City passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, April 18, 2017, in Vista Living of Archer.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church of Archer City with Pastor Ben Rigsby officiating. Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

Peggy was born November 19, 1931 in Mexia, Texas to Cecil F. Fletcher and Evelyn Young Fletcher and moved to Archer City April 9, 1934.

She graduated from Archer City High School in 1949 and then attended Midwestern State University.

She was employed by Wells Fargo Bank in Archer City for twelve years until her retirement in 1998.

Since July 2, 1939, Peggy was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was church secretary for many years, attended the Seekers Sunday School Class and sang in the choir. She also was a former member of the Swinging Stars Square Dance Club, the Stardusters Round Dance Club, the Gordie Kilgore Big Band Dance Club and a charter member of the Texas Oklahoma Big Band Dance Club in Wichita Falls.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Green and wife, Michelle of Archer City and Mitch Green and wife, Vivian of Coppell; one sister, Evelyn Annie Fields of Odessa; four grandchildren, Kellen Green and fiancé, Kelly Bierschwale of Fredericksburg,Texas, Kelvin Green and fiancé, Hannah Pressler of Archer City, Cole Green and wife, Lauren of Dallas, and Liz Green of Gainesville, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil F. on October 2, 1990, her mother, Evelyn on June 1, 2009 and her brother, Cecil W. on November 20, 1996.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kellen Green, Cole Green, Kelvin Green, Will Fletcher, Jeff Fletcher, Dick Fletcher and Rex Fields.
