Patsy Wood McHugh, age 76, of Electra, Texas passed away, Tuesday, September 26, 2017, in the Electra Memorial Hospital.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Electra with Joe Ainsworth and Charles Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Patsy was born June 8, 1941 in Perrin, Texas to Emmitt Wood and Margaret Doan Wood.  She attended school in Perrin until her eight grade.  They moved to Holliday, Texas where she attended school graduating in May 1959.

On July 2, 1959 she married the love of her life, Benny McHugh of Electra.

Patsy was a homemaker, raising their two sons, Greg born in 1961 and Mark born in 1963.

She later attended Midwestern State University graduating in 1973 with a degree in nursing.  She began working at North Texas State Hospital in Vernon, working for thirty years before retiring in 2003.  She returned to work until 2007.

Patsy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Electra.

Survivors include her husband, Benny E. McHugh of Electra; two sons, Mark McHugh of Electra, and Greg McHugh of Wichita Falls, Texas; one sister, Margie Holley of Arlington, Texas; sister-in-law, Linda Adkins of Electra; grandson, Zakkary McHugh of Wichita Falls; granddaughter, Madelaine McHugh of Wichita Falls; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and close friends, Sue Howell and Sue Perkins, both of Electra.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Ethelene Stultz and daughter-in-law, Vera Geneen McHugh.
