Patricia Ann Garnett Ostermann of Northfield, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2024 after a lengthy illness. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2024, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Windthorst, Texas celebrated with Reverend Michael Moloney, OFS, Pastor of St. Mary's and St. Boniface Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City. Cremation was under the direction of Summit Simple Cremation in Uniontown, Ohio.
Patty was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on October 31, 1947. She loved playing basketball in high school and was selected All-district for 3 years. She graduated from Antelope High School as Valedictorian of her class in 1966. She attended Midwestern University in Wichita Falls and Collin County Community College in Plano, Texas.
She married Clarence Ostermann of Windthorst, Texas on June 15, 1968 in Windthorst. Patty was employed as a secretary/clerk at Texas Instruments and at the Target regional office in Dallas, Texas. She became a full-time homemaker when her first child was born. She loved caring for her children and was often a volunteer at their schools. Clarence and Patty moved into their new home in Plano, Texas in 1972 where they lived for over 50 years.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence of Northfield, Ohio; daughter, Angela Perrine of Northfield, Ohio; son, Jason and wife, Keri of Plano, Texas; sisters, Connie and husband, Leslie Tischauser of Oak Park, Illinois and Joan Garnett and husband, Ray Abercrombie of Springfield, Virginia; brother, Greg and wife, Gwen Garnett of Denham Springs, Louisiana; granddaughter, Olivia Perrine of Northfield, Ohio; granddaughter, Madison Aranda of Amarillo, Texas; grandson, Conner Gleason of Plano, Texas; two great-grandchildren, over twenty nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Foch and Catherine Garnett of Antelope, Texas; one sister, Mary Kay Clark, her grandparents, and all of her aunts and uncles.
The family wishes to thank the loving caregivers at Suncrest Hospice and Harmony Hospice of Cleveland, Ohio, and Brentwood HealthCare Center of Sagamore Hills, Ohio and Vitality Court of Allen, Texas.
The family suggests memorials to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Jim Poirot Scholarship Fund, Windthorst ISD, P.O. Box 190, Windthorst, Texas 76389.
