Norman Musgrave, age 73, of Archer City, Texas passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, peacefully at home.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Aulds Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2022, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City with Jon Curry, Pastor of Grace Community Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Norman was born January 2, 1949 in Olney, Texas to Wesley James Musgrave and Doris Mae Moody Musgrave. Norman attended school in Newcastle and Graham.

On December 23, 1967, he married Isbelle Dennis.  Together they had three daughters Christine, Michelle and Sheryl Ann.  Norman married Debra Harrington on March 24, 2001 in Archer City.

Norman and Debra have resided in Archer City since 2006. Norman was an accomplished musician who was fortunate enough to have picked guitar with George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Charlie Pride, Waylon Jennings, Gary Stewart and Billy English.  He was on stage when a young Stephen Vaughan asked to play his guitar. He also was known for being able to play his banjo behind his head.

He loved gardening and fishing however, his greatest love was his family and spending time with them.  They always came first.

Norman was a member of the Red River Cowboy Church in Burkburnett.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Musgrave of Archer City; two daughters, Christine Harrison and husband, Johnny of Olney, and Michelle Heavyside and husband, John Paul of Lipan; two step-children, Darla Munoz and husband, Santos of Brownwood and Merlin Harrington and wife, Karin of Acton, Texas; his mother, Doris Musgrave of Archer City; sister, Debbie Davis and husband, Ron of Archer City; brother, Eddie Musgrave and wife, Lisa of Archer City; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley and his daughter, Sheryl Ann.

The family suggests memorials to Cancer Research Institute, 29 Broadway, Floor 4, New York, NY 10006-3111.
