Norma K. Thompson, age 74, of Electra, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015, in the Electra Health Care.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday September 15, 2015, in Electra Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Lee, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Electra, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2015, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Norma was born June 7, 1941 in Electra to Jack Elmer Robb and Gladys Mote Robb. She graduated from Electra High School and Draughon's Business College with an Accounting Degree.
She and R.J. Thompson were married May 21, 1960 in Electra.
She was employed for Texas Electric Service Company for five years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Electra. She was also a longtime member of Phi Sigma Phi. She served as president of the Ladies Golf Association, and on the Board of Directors of the Electra Senior Citizens Center. She loved playing golf until her health failed.
Survivors include her husband, R.J. Thompson of Electra; two sons, Bret Thompson of Galveston, Texas and Brad Thompson and wife, Veronica of Rogers, Arkansas; one sister, Janice Witherspoon of Tennessee; and five grandchildren, Jacob, Liberty, Brandon, Amanda, and Logan.
