Noel Reneau, age 79, of Archer City, passed away Sunday morning, May 25, 2014, in a Wichita Falls Hospital.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Archer City with Rev. Rebecca Grogan, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery in Archer City under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening.
Mr. Reneau was born September 15, 1934 in Oklahoma City to the late Harvey Lee Reneau and Pearl Fuller Reneau. Mr. Reneau grew up in the Oklahoma City area and graduated from high school in Chelsea, Oklahoma. After high school, he became employed by Phillips Petroleum as a Roustabout and was later transferred to Odessa, Texas.
He and Sonja Gray were married July 7, 1956 in Odessa.
In 1958, became the gas plant operator in Odessa for El Paso Products. He retired in 1986 due to health problems and moved to Archer City in 1993.
He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Archer City and he greatly enjoyed spending time in his garden and with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Sonja of the home; three sons, Tom and his wife Mitzi of Marble Falls, Kevin and his wife Melissa of Archer City, and Russell and his wife Ramona of Azle, Texas; his daughter, Melisa Reneau Huff of Archer City; one brother, Clifford Reneau and his wife Ruth of Celeste, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Irene Boevers.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Beau Reneau, Dylan Reneau, Josh Reneau, Shawn Reneau, Casey Huff, and Kevin Foster,
