Nina Dell Smith O'Quinn went to be with her Lord Jesus on Friday, August 17, 2018.

A private family service will be held in San Antonio, under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City, Texas.

She was born on January 22, 1930 to Dell and Jewel Smith.

On February 26, 1949, she married the love of her life, Hayes O'Quinn.  They were married fifty-seven years before he preceded her in death.

Nina graduated from Swayze's Secretarial School, which prepared her for her career as an administrative assistant.  One of the highlights of her career was being the first secretary of the Southwest Research Institute.  She also served as the church secretary for Castle Hills Baptist Church, executive secretary of the St. Anthony Hotel, and as her husband's secretary in various businesses and ministries.  Hayes and Nina started Creations in Cowhide, an eclectic furniture business, which they owned for several years. They enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with their business.

Hayes and Nina served their Lord Jesus in several ministries, including coordinating medical mission projects in Copper Canyon, Mexico, citywide youth outreach, drug rehabilitation, Hemisphere ministry, and church planting.

Nina is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Debbie O'Quinn of Fort Worth, grandson, Will O'Quinn of San Antonio, granddaughter, Tori O'Quinn of San Antonio, and brother, Al Smith of La Marque, Texas.

She was preceded in death by husband, Hayes O'Quinn, on June 14, 2005 and daughter-in-law, Kay Kuykendall O'Quinn, on April 24, 2006.
