Nerlean Smith Green, age 98, of Wichita Falls, Texas formerly of Electra, Texas passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 in Wichita Falls.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2021, in New Electra Cemetery with Rev. Bob Lee, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Nerlean was born August 27, 1923 in Quinlan, Texas to the late Will Smith and Nerlea Gertrud Hayes Smith. She graduated from Harrold High School.

On December 16, 1945, she married Gerald Green in Electra, Texas.  He preceded her in death on October 6, 1994.

Nerlean worked for Sears for thirteen years in Kermit and then was a homemaker throughout the rest of her life.

In 1981, she moved to Electra and took up square dancing which she enjoyed so much.  She also loved playing bingo.  Nerlean was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Electra.

Survivors include three sons, Ralph Green and wife, Pam of Sherman, Texas, Larry Green and wife, Teresa of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Terry Green and wife, Debbie of Wichita Falls; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Willean and Marcel and one brother, Herman.
