Nell Geis, age 87, of Archer City, Texas passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Deerinwater officiating. Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Aulds Funeral Home.

Nell was born July 8, 1926 in Archer County, Texas to John and Nora Mae Smith Richey.

She and R.D. Hinsley were married and they had three daughters, Susie, Linda, and Sandra and one son, Michael. She then married Lloyd Henry Geis in August 1972. He preceded her in death on November 28, 2008.

Nell was employed for Troy's Drive In for several years and also the Golden Rooster as a waitress. Nell was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a serving heart and helped many people in any way that she could including cooking, mowing grass, and cleaning.

Nell enjoyed traveling and sight-seeing especially in the mountains and the beaches. She loved Chinese food.

Survivors include three daughters, Susie Brimmager of Archer City, Linda Thompson of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Sandra Esley of Archer City; one son, Michael Hinsley of Archer City; one brother, Jim Richey of Archer City; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Nell was also preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Hinsley; two grandchildren, Catherine Marie Channel and Lee Geis; three brothers; and four sisters.
