Neal Pace, age 72, of Electra, Texas passed away Sunday evening June 2, 2013 at his residence.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Lee, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Neal was born February 15, 1941 in Electra, Texas to Melvin Arthur Pace and Agnes Lee Swearingen Pace and was raised in Punkin Center and Electra. He was a 1959 graduate of Electra High School and attended the University of Texas.
Neal began playing golf at the age of six and golf was a lifetime profession for him. He taught his girls to play golf at a young age and they called the golf course their "second home". He was a member of the PGA.
Neal was the co-owner and operator of Ray and Pace Oil Company in Electra. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Judith "Judy" Pace of Electra; twin daughters, Tracy Biggers and husband, Chet and Teresa Hackett all of Nashville, Tennessee; two step-daughters, Anna Jentsch and husband, Jason and Mary Moyes McElhaney allof Wichita Falls; one step-son, Darin Robinette of Brigham City, Utah; one sister, Jerry Pace Patton of Electra; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; special nephew, Kim Ray and wife, Leann of Electra; special niece, Julie Ray of Electra; and his last living uncle, M.C. Swearingen of Ogden, Utah.
