Michael Ralph Terry, age 66, of Lake Kickapoo passed away Thursday morning, December 3, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2015, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City with Pastor M.F. Hankins of Lake Kickapoo officiating. Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.
Mike was born May 6, 1949 in Nocona, Texas to the late Ralph Wendell Terry and Dorothy Lou Mason Terry.
He graduated from Nocona High School in 1967. Mike proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he earned the Purple Heart. He then went to Cooke County Jr. College and Texas Wesley College and earned his certification as a Court Reporter. He was employed as a court reporter for Wichita County for twenty-six years until his retirement in 2005.
Mike enjoyed fishing, boating, reading and golf. He was a member of the Wichita Falls Bridge Association for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki Terry of Lake Kickapoo; daughter, Laurie Bishop and husband, Allan of Nolanville, Texas; son, Bill Terry of Madison, Louisiana; two sisters, Carol Lown and husband, Mike of St. Jo, Texas and Diane Duckworth and husband, Randy of Nocona; brother, Robert Terry of Nocona; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Terry and his sister, Lisa Boydston.
