Michael Lee "Mike" Cameron, age 66, of Archer City passed away Thursday evening, November 29, 2018, in Community Hospice of Fort Worth.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Archer City with Roger Deerinwater officiating.  Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2018, at Aulds Funeral Home.

Mike was born October 17, 1952 in McAllen, Texas to the late Robert David Cameron and Myrtle LaVerne Jones Cameron.

He and Karen Sue Tekell were married on August 14, 1993 in Archer City.

Mike was a licensed plumber and had been employed by Airco in Wichita Falls for twenty-one years.  He was a member of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 404 of Northwest Texas.

He also was a member of the First Baptist Church of Archer City, the Masonic Lodge of Archer City and served as a volunteer fireman.  Mike was honored to play "Taps" for many Archer County veterans throughout the years.

Mike enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the casino.  He also loved spending time with family and friends who lovingly called him "Pappy".

Survivors include his wife, Karen of Archer City; son, Shannon Cameron and wife, Misty of Archer City; daughter, Ranae Cameron Lane and husband, Cody of Brock, Texas; step-daughters, Penny Patel of Archer City, and Barbara Caussey and husband, Chad of Trophy Club, Texas, and Stacey White and husband, Jason of Shallowater, Texas; step-son, Scott McCully and wife, Marianne of Turner, Oregon; grandchildren, John, Destiny and Desiree Biggers, Sydney and Cameron Lane, Reagan and Luke Caussey,  Zachary, Macey, and Kayley Edwards, Blaze and Paris White, Miranda Patel and Kent Lauren, Ashley and Bailey Taylor; and great-grandson, Mathew Lauren.
