Mary Elizabeth Jacobs, age 83, of Windthorst passed away Wednesday November 21, 2018 in Hospice of Wichita Falls.

A memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Aulds Funeral Home with Andy Graham, Pastor officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Mary was born June 30, 1935 in Olustee, Oklahoma to George Edwin Olson and Martha Elizabeth Spraggins Olson.  She moved to Altus and graduated from Altus High School.

In 1962, she moved to Windthorst where her husband was the Ag teacher.  Mary was employed at First State Bank in Archer City for many years.  She also worked for King's Grocery in Windthorst.  In the mid 70's, when Jim retired, they started an antique business, buying, refurbishing and selling antiques.  They also started a concrete business making and selling septic tanks, bird baths, benches, and stepping stones.  Mary also did ceramics and pottery.

Mary enjoyed playing the piano all of her life especially at her church, Scotland Baptist Church.   She loved to play dominoes, cards at Windthorst Community Center and with her family and friends.  After her fall in February, when she broke her leg, Mary moved to Vista Living of Archer City.

Survivors include sons, Gerald and wife, Sandra of Olney, Mike and wife, Kathy of Windthorst;  daughter, Elizabeth Tucker and husband, Jim of Houston , Texas; brother, Phil Olson and wife, Glyna of Olustee, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Carol Olson of Willis, Texas; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by sister, Elmeda Payne; brother, Jimmy Olson; and grandson, W.P. Stephens.
