Mary Jane Cole Robinson, age 91, of Oklahoma City, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 in Katy, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015, in the Electra Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Lee, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Electra, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Mary Jane was born on March 24, 1923 in Electra to Clyde Newman Cole and Mary Elizabeth Flynt Cole. She grew up in Electra and graduated from Electra High School. Mary Jane was a proud graduate of Texas Christian University and obtained a Master's Degree from Oklahoma University, both in Geology.

She began her career with the Magnolia Oil Company in Oklahoma City as a Paleontologist, and subsequently drilled oil and gas prospects for OPUBCO and as an independent, until her retirement at the age of 85. Mary Jane also was a certified gemologist with her own custom jewelry business and an avid bridge player.

She and Malcolm Leroy "Mike" Robinson, who also was a geologist, were married August 6, 1950 in Electra. He preceded her in death on December 29, 1998.

Mary Jane is survived by her beloved children, Mara Marie Brachman and husband, Steven Harold, of Katy, Texas, and Michael Cole Robinson of Lake Oswego, Oregon; and her loving grandchildren, Hillary Elizabeth Brachman of San Antonio, Jonathan Cole Brachman of Katy, Christopher Cole Robinson of Los Angeles, California, and Matthew James Robinson of Lake Oswego, Oregon.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Amazing Grace Hospice, 5502 4th Street, Katy, Texas 77493.
