Martha Painter, age 95, of Wichita Falls, Texas passed away Sunday morning, April 14, 2024, in House of Hope in Wichita Falls.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in the Archer City Cemetery with Jon Curry, Pastor of Grace Community Church of Archer City, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Martha was born April 27, 1928 in Morgan Mills, Texas to the late Dan Wallace and Callie Elizabeth Wallace.

Martha graduated from Archer City High School and then attended college.

She married Jack Painter on October 18, 1963 in Henrietta, Texas.  He preceded her in death on May 5, 1979.

Martha was employed by Southwestern Bell for forty-seven years until her retirement. She loved square dancing and danced until she was eighty-five years old. Martha also enjoyed working in her yard and planting flowers.  She was awarded "Most Beautiful Yard" from the City of Wichita Falls.

Survivors include one son, Danny Painter of Wichita Falls; two grandchildren, Justin Painter and wife, Amanda Veitenheimer of Windthorst and Jacquelynn Peer and husband, Matthew of Wichita Falls; and two great grandchildren, Dylan and Daniel Painter.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Wanda Brock.
