Martha Robertson Gaulden, age 75, of Northern Archer County, passed away, Thursday, June 13, 2024, in Evergreen Heath Care Center in Burkburnett.
Private burial will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
Martha, one of eleven children, was born February 23, 1949 in Seymour, Texas to the late Ottie Wilford Fails and Pauline Marie Furl Fails. She attended school in Megargel, Texas.
Martha married Cal Gaulden on May 10, 2016 in Archer City.
Martha was employed by Haggar Slacks in Olney. She was then employed as the School Bus Supervisor in Angleton. After moving to Archer County, she was employed at Ralph Morgan Leasing in Wichita Falls. Martha also owned and operated Wall Wizards where she hung wallpaper throughout the area. She taught wall paper hanging classes at Midwestern University.
Martha was an excellent seamstress and made custom made shirts for her husband and clothes for her children. She also did cake decorating, painting and making jewelry and loved being an eBay gemologist. Living life to the fullest, she could often be found driving fast in her Trans Am, out on a boat somewhere, or responding to a call as an EMT Intermediate for Lakeside City Volunteer Fire Department. Although Martha always enjoyed toasting the good times with her family and friends, her most treasured moments were spent making memories with her nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Jake Lewis and his wife Amanda, Harleigh Fields, Ayden Fields, Carson Dyer and his girlfriend, Grace Morgan, Austin Fields and his girlfriend, Marklie Strange, Casen Dyer, Jackson Gaulden, Dallas Gaulden, and Brooks Gaulden. Great-grandchildren Carson, Harper, and Piper will all carry on a beautiful legacy of love and memories of their "Granny."
Survivors include her husband, Cal Gaulden of Northern Archer County; three sons, Gregg Fields of Raymondville, Garland Fields and fiancé, Jayne Roberts of Northern Archer County, and Colt Gaulden and wife, Ashley of Gatesville; one daughter, Ginger Fields Dyer and husband Roy of Holliday; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Martha was also preceded in death by seven brothers; three sisters and her precious great-granddaughter, Paisley Lewis.
