Marilyn Harris Whittaker, age 91, of New Braunfels, Texas passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, in Bastrop, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2017, in the New Electra Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2017, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Marilyn was born February 12, 1926 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late William Frank and Lorena Ruth Pentecost Harris. She graduated from Electra High School.

She and William Thomas Whittaker were married February 14, 1949 in Wichita Falls.  He preceded her in death on April 25, 2003.

Marilyn was a homemaker, an artist, and an animal lover.  She volunteered at the Senior Center for thirty years.  She also enjoyed traveling the world with her husband.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
