Margaret Williams, age 94, of Archer City, Texas passed away Sunday morning, April 30, 2023, at her residence.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2023, in the Chapel of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City with Roger Deerinwater of Archer City officiating. Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Margaret was born March 23, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas.

She and Monroe Williams were married August 23, 1965 in Frederick, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on November 6, 2013. Together they made their home in Archer City.

Margaret was employed by Region 9 in the surrounding counties and was involved in the Summer Youth Programs where she helped children with summer jobs. Margaret was a founding member of the Archer Service Center and was instrumental in acquiring the Archer Housing Authority. She worked there for several years before training Gloria Klaras to take over her position. After her retirement, she spent most of her summers in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Her favorite past times were fishing, horseracing, and going to the casino. Margaret loved people and especially all her stray wild animals. She was a special character who was notably generous and will always be in our hearts.

Survivors include three daughters, Paula Bradley and husband, Jerry, Donna Hill Williams, all of Archer City, and Staci Beesinger and husband, Derrel of Lake Arrowhead; one son, Richard Hill and wife, Melanie of Tuttle, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by three sons, Phillip Hill, Donald Hill and Rodney Williams and two grandsons, Douglas Hill and Daniel Bradley.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Macon Armour, Sam Berube, Cade Bowers, Gage Bowers, Kline Mayo, Jackson White, Matt Williams and Michael Wren.

The family would like to thank Theresa Riggins and Beyond Faith Hospice for all the love and care that was given to our Mom and Granny.
