Marcia Ann Farmer Mahler, age 86, of Archer City, Texas passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Archer City with Mikey Pesqueda, Pastor of First Baptist Church and Roger Deerinwater of Archer City officiating.  Interment will follow in the Archer City Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2024, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.

Marcia was born October 2, 1938 in Olney, Texas to the late Hugh Clinton Farmer and Emma Waldean Collins Farmer.

Marcia graduated Salutatorian of her class from Archer City High School and then attended Midwestern State University.  She earned her certification for the USDA.

Marcia married Bobby Ross McGriff and together they had three daughters, DeLane, Tammy and Angie. He preceded her in death.  In 1980, Marcia married Thurman Mahler who preceded her in death. Marcia and Ken Patterson joined their lives together on June 13, 2013.

Marcia was employed in the Archer County Tax office and then the ASCS office for several years.

Marcia was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Archer City where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.  She also was a member of the Salvation Singers. Marcia was a member of the Texas Cattlewomen's Association and the Amity Club in Olney.

Marcia loved working in her yard, gardening and baking cakes. She enjoyed monthly birthday celebrations with her friends, dancing and The Texasville Opry.  Her most favorite thing to do was spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Ken Patterson of Archer City; three daughters, DeLane Wilson of College Station, Tammy McLaine of Dallas, and Angie Steele and husband, Larry of Archer City; step-son, Windell Keith Patterson and wife, Polly; sister, Tom Simmons of Archer City; three grandchildren, Ashley Wilson, Taylor Withers and husband, Luke and London Steele; step-grandson, Kristopher Patterson and four great-grandchildren, Piper, Oliver, June and Margot.

Marcia was also preceded in death by her brother, James Farmer.
