Linda Lois Fritsche McAlister, age 82, of Electra, Texas passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023 in Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2023, at First United Methodist Church of Electra with Rev. Bob Lee, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.  Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Linda was born February 2, 1941 in Vernon, Texas to the late Richard Carl Fritsche and Doris Elizabeth Collingsworth Fritsche.

She graduated from Electra High School.

Linda and Larry Leon McAlister were married December 29, 1962 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harrold, Texas.

She was a homemaker throughout her life and also helped her husband on the family farm.

Linda enjoyed sewing, watching her soap operas and working word search puzzles.  She was good at a lot of things, but she was best at being Granny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Larry of Electra; two sons, Kenneth McAlister and wife, Diane of Electra and Robert McAlister and wife, Laurie of Iowa Park; one daughter, Carla Bowden and husband, Benny of Iowa Park; one sister, Doris Gottfried and husband, Jim of Electra; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her special family nurse, Jennifer Canafax of Iowa Park.

She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Zachary Leon McAlister.
