Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Archer City with Rev. Adam Davis, pastor, and Roger Deerinwater, both of Archer City, officiating.

Mrs. Hopkins was born October 16, 1933 to the late Luther Thomas Key and Bernice Mildred Powell Key in Archer County, where she was a lifelong resident.

She had attended North Texas University before she became self-employed as a co-owner of Hopkins Perforating and Logging, an oilfield servicing company.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School and Rhythm Band to preschoolers and kept the nursery, for more than thirty-three years. She had volunteered countless hours as a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts, and had served as the leader of both the Brownies and Camp Fire groups in Archer City. She also greatly enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Crowley, and her husband Jim Bob, of Archer City; two sons, Danny of Mill Run, Pennsylvania, and David of Grand Prairie, Texas; five grandchildren, Vicki Ostermann and husband Klint, of Uganda, Vanessa Crowley of Archer City, Lindsey Hopkins Page, and her husband T.J., of Austin, Texas, Caleb Hopkins, and Mary Spurlock, of Wichita Falls, and Becky Harris of Archer City; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Leta Jean Wright, and her husband John, of North Richland Hills.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Charles Crowley, on June 7, 2014.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Jim Bob Crowley, Caleb Hopkins, Kobie Koetter, Klint Ostermann, T.J. Page, Gene Wright, and Tom Wright.
