Laverne Bevers, age 48, life-long resident of Archer County, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016, as a result of an automobile accident.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2016, at Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City with Jerry Alcorn, Pastor of Grace Church in Grand Prairie, Texas, officiating. Interment will follow in the Antelope Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Aulds Funeral Home.

Laverne, the only child of the late Francis Dexter Bevers and Mary Dell Lloyd Bevers, was born November 28, 1968 in Archer County, Texas.
She graduated from Rider High School in Wichita Falls. She attended Midwestern University and earned a Business Degree.

Laverne was employed at Archer Feed Store where her shining light will be missed by her many friends and customers.

Laverne loved her animals so much that when she attended All Saints Episcopal Day School in Wichita Falls, she took her horse to be blessed by the Episcopal Priest. Her passion was riding her horse. She enjoyed reading, her friends and her community. Laverne was the kindest and sweetest person with a gentle soul. She was never seen without a smile on her face and always took the time to visit with her friends.

Laverne was a member of the First Baptist Church of Archer City and the American Quarter Horse Association.

Survivors include her rat babies and her collie, Daisy Mae, Bonnie Sue & Lucy; several loving cousins; and numerous friends.
