Ken Lewis, age 62, of Munday, Texas passed away on November 2, 2016, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Mountain Home Cemetery in Jacksboro, Texas with Frank Hefner officiating.
Ken was born June 25, 1954 in Jacksboro, Texas to Samuel Odis Lewis and Reva Pauline Masey Lewis.
He and Deidra Charlene Beauchamp were married February 28, 2008 in Odessa, Texas.
For the early years of his adult life, he worked in computers and banking but spent the majority of his years working in the oil field. It was there he found his drive. He gave 110% to the well and the job, shared his knowledge of completions with anyone who would listen, and loved talking shop.
Ken was passionate about many things outside of work with family, his kids, and his ovcharkas topping the list. He reserved bragging rights on those areas of his life and they were his pride and joy. He often proclaimed he had a brilliant mind and anyone who met him would agree. He was a history buff, a walking encyclopedia, and researcher at heart. He enjoyed learning about everything. His favorite past times were driving across Texas and sharing stories about past battles and historical sites, along with what he considered the best eatin' places in the country. His sense of humor, loyalty, and his outspoken ways will never be forgotten. While work occupied far too much of his time; the memories and legacy he leaves behind will last a lifetime.
Survivors include his wife, Deidra of Odessa; daughter, Malinda Crouse and husband, John of Archer City; son, Kenny Lewis of Odessa; father, Odis Lewis; aunts, Betty Pierce and Margaret Downes; one niece, Rena Gunnoe; and numerous cousins.
