Keli Barker Strange, age 61, of Electra, Texas passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, in Electra Memorial Hospital.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Lee of First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Keli was born October 29, 1961 to the late Marion Meredith "Buddy" Barker and Sarah Lou Clopton Barker in Vernon, Texas.
She graduated from Electra High School and then earned her LVN license and continued her education to earn her RN license. She was the Director of Nurses for Electra Home Health and also worked for Electra Memorial Hospital. Keli loved nursing and taking care of her patients.
Keli married Scott Strange on October 8, 1997 in Electra.
Keli worked in her family business O S & S Operating Inc. Oilfield Services and O S & S Operating Inc. Rental Properties.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Electra Chamber of Commerce where she was the head of Santa's Toy Box for many years. Keli enjoyed beading, crafts, scrapbooking, gardening and canning. She loved her life in her hometown especially with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed camping and traveling in her RV.
Survivors include her husband, Scott Strange of Electra; children, Scotty Strange and wife, Brandi of Electra, Jonathan Cumpton of St. Louis, Missouri, Eli Cumpton and partner, Doug Lewis of Krum, and Katherine Comeaux and husband, Zachary of Taft; two sisters, Stacia Blodgett and husband, Randy of Wichita Falls, and Angela Kidwell of Electra; mother-in-law, Sherry Strange of Electra; sister-in-law, Marsha Strange of Electra; four grandchildren, Kasin Strange, Ranger Reis, Jaycee Strange and Barry Comeaux; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Sheldon Strange on December 30, 2010.
