Kathy Kuykendall Nelson, age 55, of Archer City, Texas passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in the Archer City Cemetery with Roger Deerinwater, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, and her son, Jonathan Nelson, Co-Sponsor of Archer City FCA, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.

Kathy was born January 18, 1959 in Griffin, Georgia to the late Perry T. Kuykendall, Sr. and Betty Jean Hinkle Kuykendall.

She moved to Archer City in 1975 and graduated in 1977 from Archer City High School.

She and Clifton Nelson were married December 16, 1978 in Windthorst, Texas. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2011.

Kathy was a loving wife, mother and aunt. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed her outdoor aquarium and reading.

Survivors include one son, Jonathan Nelson of Archer City; and one brother, Woody Kuykendall and wife, Phyllis of Wichita Falls; father-in-law, Travis Nelson of Archer City; two brothers-in-law, Curtis Nelson and Craig Nelson of Archer City; one-sister-in-law, Caren Pettersen and husband, Michael of Elgin, Texas; three nephews, Christopher, Kyle and Jimmy Kuykendall; and one niece, Stephanie Johnson, and husband, Brad of Oklahoma City, Ok.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Ann Nelson on February 2, 1990; her father, Perry T. Kuykendall on December 22, 1995; her mother, Betty Kuykendall on September 15, 2007; her mother-in-law, Bertie Nelson on August 13, 2003; and two brothers, Pete Kuykendall on December 22, 1990 and Robert Kuykendall on March 13, 2014.
