Electra

LaDell Cato, age 72, of Harrold, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013, in a Wichita Falls hospital.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013, at the First Assembly of God with Darwin Stroud, Pastor of the First Assembly of God, officiating.

LaDell was born July 31, 1940 to Joy Lee Cato and Ruby Catherine Gilbert in Electra where he graduated from Electra High School.

He and Pat Blackwood were married May 12, 1961 in Quanah, Texas.

He had worked in the oilfield throughout his entire life. LaDell was a member of the Harrold Volunteer Fire Department and had served on the Harrold School Board for several years. He was very active in his community and had helped with any project that he was needed. He was always available to help anyone with anything.

Survivors include his wife, Pat of Harrold; three sons, Rickey Foster and wife, Kathy of Electra, Bobby Cato and wife, Tricia of Iowa Park, and Coy Cato and wife, Tina of Harrold; one daughter, Patty Pettiet and husband, Randy of Electra; one brother, Deryl Cato and wife, Shirley of Electra; twelve grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by on granddaughter, Jaci Payton.

In lieu of flowers due to allergies, the family suggests memorials to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310 or to the Harrold Volunteer Fire Department, 18176 Stewart Street, Harrold, Texas 76364.
