Johnny E. Anzaldua, age 84, of Weatherford, Texas, formerly of Electra, Texas, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Weatherford.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, in the Electra Memorial Park with Jesse Ochoa, Pastor of Temple Cento Evangelistico Church in Vernon, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Johnny was born August 24, 1928 in Edinburg, Texas to Juan Anzaldua and Blasita Guzman Anzaldua,
He and Lupe Soliz were married February 22, 1946 in Edinburg, Texas. She preceded him in death on December 18, 2012.
Johnny was a truck driver throughout his life. He was a member of Temple Cento Evangelistico in Vernon.
Survivors include three daughters, Gloria Anzaldua of Wichita Falls, Texas; Alicia Magana and husband, Miguel of Vernon, Stella Cantrell and husband, Tim of Whitt, Texas; six sons, Johnny Anzaldua and wife, Sandra of Lamesa, Texas, Raul Anzaldua and wife, Kathy of Weatherford, Ernest Anzaldua and wife, Patricia of Vernon, Texas, Joe Anzaldua and fiancé, Tammy Salazar of Weatherford, Adolph Anzaldua and wife, Cecile of Church Point, Louisiana, and Richard Anzaldua and wife, Pinky of Electra; sister, Margarita Guzman of Edinburg; brother, Arnold Anzaldua and wife, Irma of Sinton, Texas; thirty-two grandchildren; sixty-six great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Stephanie Anzaldua; one grandson, Dusty Anzaldua; and three sisters, Rosita Garcia, Estella Rodriquez and Sara Ford.
