John Ed Taylor, age 76, of Electra, Texas passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Electra, Texas.

Honoring John’s wishes, there will be no formal services held at this time. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

John was born on August 13, 1949 in Carlsbad, New Mexico to Rey and Peggy Taylor. He graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1967 and went on to build a life defined by hard work, dedication, and love for his family. He worked as a welder and truck driver and spent more than thirty years with C.E. Natco. John took pride in providing for his family and was known by many for his strong work ethic and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

On March 12, 1968, he married the love of his life, Mary, in Electra. Together they built a home filled with love and made Electra the center of their world. They raised two children, Johnny and Teri, who were his pride and joy.

John will be remembered for his steady presence, his generous heart, and the quiet strength he showed throughout his life. Nothing meant more to him than his family, and he cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-eight years, Mary; his son, Johnny and wife, Kim of Mansfield, Texas; his brother, Ronnie and wife, Pam of Oklahoma; and his beloved grandchildren, Logan Taylor of McKinney, Colton Taylor of Mansfield, Zane Taylor of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Dalton Wilson. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

John was preceded in death by his daughter, Teri Taylor Wilson; his parents, Ray and Peggy Taylor; his sister, Vicki Weddle; and his brother, Donnie Taylor.
