John Michael "Mike" Carroll, age 75, of Electra, Texas passed away Tuesday afternoon, November 10, 2020 in Electra Health Care.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2020, in Electra Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Lee, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Electra , officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Mike was born December 20, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Leroy Harrison Carroll and Mary Musetta Thompson Carroll.

He graduated from Electra High School and then attended Midwestern State University where he earned  his degree in Physiology and Psychology.

Mike married Janett Rodawalt in September of 1966 in Waurika, Oklahoma.  Together they had three children, Michael Sean, Deidra Michelle and Derek Michael.  She preceded him in death on August 7, 2020.

Mike was employed by Texaco while putting himself through college. He then was the owner and operator of The Great Indoor in Vernon.  He also was the owner and operator of Carroll Transport, LTD.  In the early 1970's, John ran the swimming pool, the golf course at the Electra Country Club and coached Little League Baseball.

In 1993, Mike moved to Graham where he operated a liquor store at Possum Kingdom until 2013.  In 2013, he bought Local Boys Liquor Store in Wichita Falls with his son, Sean.

Mike was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Electra.

Survivors include one daughter, Deidra Michelle Harbin and husband, Derek of Rowlett; one son, Derek Michael Carroll and husband, Jonmichael McBurnett of Dallas; two sisters, Candy and Rena; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mike was also preceded in death his son, Sean on October 10, 2020; and one brother, Leroy.
