John Wayne Harrigal, age 75, of Holliday, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020, in Wichita Falls.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2020, in the Holliday Cemetery with his family friend, Dave Egleston of Paradise, Texas, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Archer City.
John was born October 21, 1945 in Rising Star, Texas to the late Berley Acker Harrigal and Frederick Lucille Fox Harrigal.
He and Brenda Blankenship were married on June 2, 1963 in Seymour, Texas.
John loved Archer County. For 45 years, he was a member of the Holliday Volunteer Fire & Rescue and served as an officer most of those years including Fire Chief several times.
John's passion was ranching, riding a good horse and being in the pastures tending to his cattle.
John was a Godly man who loved his family. He was the number one fan of his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them play sports. John always had a story or joke to tell everyone.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda of Holliday; daughter, Connie Harrigal of Holliday; son, Doug Harrigal and wife, Alaina of Holliday; three grandchildren, Christi Bultena and husband, Dustin, Ambri Harrigal and Hadley Harrigal; sisters, Pam Brookshire and husband, Roy of Midland, and Patricia Moon and husband, Billy of Elm Springs, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by son, Jeff Harrigal in 1964 and grandson, Darin Pruett in 1986.
